One of the most common questions we get from new customers is simple: do I need a full seasonal program, or can I just get a one-time treatment? The honest answer is that it depends on your property, your goals, and how much mosquito pressure you're dealing with. Here's a straightforward breakdown of both options so you can decide what makes sense for you.
A one-time mosquito treatment is exactly what it sounds like — a single visit where we treat your property thoroughly to knock down the current mosquito population. We target the areas where mosquitoes rest during the day: the undersides of leaves, shrubs, dense vegetation, shaded areas, and any standing water breeding sites we identify.
A single treatment can provide real results — but it's temporary. Depending on weather conditions, rainfall, and how much breeding habitat surrounds your property, the effects of a one-time chemical treatment typically last at least 4 weeks. After that, new mosquitoes hatching from nearby water sources will begin repopulating your yard. For most Minnesota properties, a single treatment won't carry you through the whole summer.
A seasonal program is a series of recurring treatments scheduled throughout mosquito season — typically from May through September. Most of our customers start with 4 treatments spaced around 4 weeks apart, which covers the full arc of Minnesota's mosquito season. For properties with higher pressure — lakefront homes, properties near wetlands, or yards with significant tree cover — we may recommend additional visits after seeing the property.
Beyond the obvious benefit of continuous protection, seasonal programs typically offer a better cost per treatment than individual one-time visits. You're also building a relationship with a service provider who knows your property — on each return visit, we can note changes, adjust our approach, and give you better results over time.
Not sure which option fits your yard? Call us and we'll give you an honest recommendation based on your property — no pressure either way.

There's no contract and no pressure. If you start with a one-time treatment and decide you want ongoing protection, we can add you to a seasonal program at any point in the season. Many of our seasonal customers started with a single event treatment and decided they wanted the coverage to continue. We make it easy to adjust.
